Fairtrade Jewellery

Fair Trade guarantees producers and workers in the developing world a better standard of life. Fair Trade is a worldwide organisation and means that consumers have a choice how to spend their money knowing that it will make a difference to the people who are selling the goods.  Many products adhere to the Fair Trade principle and jewellery is no different in this respect.

Suppliers work together with companies who ensure in turn that their employees receive a realistic wage as well as good working conditions.

The main aim of Fair Trade is to offer marginalised communities helping the people in such communities to develop their skills and to offer them a helping hand to bring their products to market in the UK.

Perhaps the overriding principle of Fair Trade is to campaign against how world trade functions and to address the inequality of such a system.

If you have any strong ethical principles and want to make a difference to the working conditions of people then perhaps you should consider buying Fair Trade jewellery.
