| Question
| My girlfriend always wears chunky costume jewellery. She has a special birthday coming up and and I want to get her something precious. I don't want to spend a huge amount of money but want something that she will treasure. Can you help? | | Answer | Why not try something that contains precious metal such as silver but that has a unique and very individual design that your girlfriend would favour? Try a website called www.econe.co.uk this has a wonderful selection of beautiful designs made with precious and semi-precious materials. If you want to make sure you get it right, you could even give your girlfriend a budget and ask her to shortlist 5 to 10 items she prefers, but you ultimately choose which one to buy so it's still a surprise on the big day. | | Question | I have quite a short neck and tend to avoid wearing choker-style necklaces. Is this style flattering for me or am I right to avoid it? | | Answer | Chokers are usually 14 to 16 inches in length and the name suggests they fit snuggly to 'choke' the neck. You might want to try a necklace that is a princess style, usually 17 to 19 inches in length. It's still a short necklace but sits lower is likely to be much more flattering and neck-lengthening. It's always worth trying lots of different length necklaces on to find the length that is right for you. |
